An Introduction to the Belmond Villa San Michele at Fiesole

Initially patroned by Ser Niccolò Davanzati of Florence in the early fifteenth century as a convent for Franciscan tertiaries, the Villa San Michele has served as a location of religious and recreational retreat for six centuries. Join us in welcoming Jeremy Boudreau from the British Institute of Florence for an on-site presentation on the elegant venue’s journey of transformation from monastic complex to Florence’s leading luxury getaway, including a review of the villa’s outstanding collection of historic and contemporary art.
